1/3 | c | Margarine |
2/3 | c | Sugar |
1 | c | White flour |
1 | c | Whole-wheat flour |
1/2 | ts | Cinnamon |
1/2 | ts | Ground cloves |
1/2 | ts | Nutmeg |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 | ts | Baking soda, in 2/3 c water |
1 | c | Finely chopped apple |
1/3 | c | Raisins |
1/3 | c | Chopped walnuts |
2 | | Egg whites, whipped |
Cream the margarine and sugar. Add dry ingredients and water alternately,
then apple. Dust the raisins and nuts with a small amount of flour and add
them to the batter. Fold in the egg whites. Bake in a 8 in. square nonstick
pan at 350F for 30 to 40 min. or until firm. Cal: 295; Fat 2 1/5g.
